CONCEPT:
Left leg has two stacked scenes:
On the top, it's the famous scene of Akhenaten, Nefertiti, and their daughters getting blessings from the sun god Aten. It represents divine love, family, and balance.
Below that is the Opening of the Mouth ritual, a powerful Egyptian ceremony done to awaken the senses of the dead—symbolizing rebirth and transition into the afterlife.
Right leg has a calm scene of a man seated in a lush garden with plants and birds. It’s from the Nebamun tomb paintings, representing peace, enjoyment, and eternal life after death.
Altogether, the piece shows a full story—from life, to death, to peace.
It’s storytelling through embroidery, based on real ancient paintings.
